1.Structure of Aluminum Thick Plate for mold production

The alloy 6061 has very good welding characteristics and may be welded by all of the common welding techniques. Gas tungsten arc welding is generally used for thin sections and gas metal arc welding is used for heavier sections.Commonly used in the manufacture of heavy-duty structures requiring good corrosion resistance, truck and marine components, railroad cars, furniture, tank fittings, general structural and high pressure applications, wire products, and in pipelines.

Q:Need to polish some small aluminum tubing, preferably to chrome like shine. What tools do I need? Thinking about buying 6 bench grinder, buffing? wheels and polish compound... Does it sound about right?
Aluminum oxidizes almost instantly, so it is never going to keep a good shine. You can send it to a plating shop and they will anodize it, which means a permanent oxidized layer and that may or may not retain some shine but at least it won't ever change much. (But it is easily stained.) Consider plating some other metal on the surface. You will need advice from a plating shop about that. Maybe you could use chrome plated water pipe? That would be cheaper than a custom job.
Q:Can someone please explained what aluminum reacts slowly with dilute acided?Thank you!
Firstly, dilute acids are weaker than concentrated acids. This slows the rate of reaction. Secondly, Aluminium is less reactive than the Group 1 and Group 2 metals, which slows the rate of reaction. It is less reactive because it has to form 3+ ions which is more draining than forming 1+ or 2+ ions. Thirdly, Aluminium oxidises well in air but, unlike rust, this oxide sticks to the pure aluminium, forming a protective layer.
Q:what is the behaviour of Al2O3= aluminium oxide and SiO2= silicon dioxide when heated from room temperature to 1000 degree celcius?
Aluminium oxide is a metal oxide and here shows it's basic properties. Silicon dioxide is a non metal oxide, so acidic Acid + base ---- salt so aluminium silicate is formed
Q:on an hot day, which will stay cooler longer...aluminum, or copper? why?thanks!
Aluminum conducts heat faster than copper, so if both are left in the sun, the copper will stay cooler longer. When they are removed from the sunlight, the aluminum will become cooler first.
Q:what are the differences between aluminium , iron , steel.... properties like strength , durability , corrosion resistance properties...finally which is cost efficient and best for all purpose..??
Brass is an alloy made of copper and zinc, and will show shades of yellow in it. Musical instruments are made from this as well as ornaments, military buttons etc. Bronze is made from copper and tin, and will appear browner in content. This allow is stronger than brass, and can be used for weapons, long lasting household items, etc.
Q:What are the aluminum plates for?
Defense (cover containing polyethylene moistureproof layer of kraft paper embossing aluminum alloy), special mould. The tensile aluminum alloy aluminum coated aluminum. Special stamping. Electronic gasket aluminum, alloy aluminum alloy electric radiator. Special aluminum curtain wall coating. (fluorocarbon, polyester) aluminum coil, aluminum coil, special signs aluminum plate, color coated aluminum sheet, aluminum ceiling coating, aluminum plate, aluminum plate pattern, embossing aluminum / aluminum (pointer type, orange peel pattern, diamond, five ribs, aluminum strip). Q:answer them please! i need help. the main question is # 1!!! 2. how many atoms are in one particle of aluminum dichromate?3. how many phosphorus atoms are in one particle of calcium phosphate?4. how many total atoms are in one particle of calcium phosphate?PLEASE!! who ever answers all, ill give them best answer a 5 star ratinggg. please!!! THANK YOU!
1) Look at the formula for aluminum nitrate [Al(NO3)3]. The subscript of 3 outside of the parentheses means that you multiply each atom inside the parentheses by 3. Since there is only one nitrogen inside the parentheses, this means that you multiply that by 3. There are a total of 3 nitrogen atoms in each molecule of aluminum nitrate. 2) The formula for aluminum dichromate is Al2(Cr2O7)3. Again, multiply each atom in the parentheses by 3, add them, then add 2 to that number for the aluminum. That's your answer. 3) The formula for calcium phosphate is Ca3(PO4)2. Multiply P by 2. 4) Follow the same steps as in #2, above.
Q:What kind of welding rod should be used for aluminum plate, welding and welding?.
Ask for advice, the simplest and the most primitive way, sincerely ask for adviceChasing the answerThe welding method is the most original welding welding, but have difficulty, need certain skills. The simplest is not easy to say, if welding hand arc welding, in fact, the use of hand arc welding is relatively simple, and welding carbon steel is the difference between the welding speed, requiring faster response to the welder on the line. If there is no welding foundation, we can use TIG welding or MIG welding, both of which are simpler to learn, that is, the welding equipment that needs to be purchased is more expensive.
Q:Does anyone know why Mercury -(Thimerosal) is used in Flu Vaccinations and where Mercuryisnot used Aluminium in other vaccines ? While these are known to be toxic metals, can these cause headaches, severe hot burning heads and or Sinusitus ?
Thimerosal is not the same as mercury. It's a mercury-based preservative which to prevent the growth of germs, bacteria and fungi, that can contaminate them. It's used in seasonal flu vaccine because the vaccine is produced in large quantities and often in multi-dose vials. Thimerosal helps safeguard against possible contamination of the vial once it is opened. The aluminum in vaccines is aluminum hydroxide, aluminum phosphate, alum (potassium aluminum sulfate), or mixed aluminum salts. They're an adjuvant added to enhance the immune response in the vaccinated individual. Whether or not something is toxic has to do with how much a person receives not the substance itself. People can die from drinking too much water, but we don't go around calling water toxic. The amount of mercury or aluminum in vaccines is so small that it's not toxic. You ingest more mercury by eating fish and a baby ingest more aluminum in breast milk than they get in a vaccine. So if mercury and aluminum caused head aches, severe hot burning heads or sinusitis in a person, that person would have a lot more to worry about than vaccines since they would be exposed to those things in so many other ways.
Q:I was looking at Audioque subs earlier and what is the difference between copper and aluminum coiled subs. do aluminum last longer or something?
to maintain it common......Copper is better at removing or soaking up warmth than aluminum yet aluminum is better at dissipating it or doing away with it. i think it is why you spot aluminum CPU coolers with copper cores.
